HI, A REAL HUMAN INTERFACE MAY 09 - ?
Did you ever think that your computer was alive? That there was someone inside working for you? 'Hi, a real human interface' is a metaphor for how interaction with technology should be. It was our attempt to create the perfect interface; one that really understands our deepest needs, a human interface indeed.
The Hi video was intended to be a self-portrait project. We wanted to be able to explain what we did in a plain way. We knew, though, that you are not always as you want to be; instead as people see you. We created a video that reflected our vision in the possibilities that interaction brings to both people and technology. Making technology warmer has always been the goal of our collective and we couldn't think of a better way to do it than literally embedding a human being inside of it.

SPACE INVADERS XL MAY 09
Our most famous installation got even bigger at OFFF Oeiras 2009. We built a 6x4m version of the game where hundreds of people could play at the same time. Despite the efforts and sleepless nights this challange took, it was really rewarding to see people sweating, laughing and playing around with it.

GUTEN TOUCH, RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY AUG 08 - NOV 08
Designed for the Red Bull Music Academy 08, Guten Touch is an interactive art installation that involves people into a natural relationship with technology. A two projected displays system plus a 3m x 2m multitouch wall showcase applications designed to engage us into human friendly experiences rather than flashy and jaw-dropping visualizations. Space Invaders hit by foam balls, pixel paintings created with brushes, and digital objects held by hands try to blur boundaries between real and digital. Guten Touch is our enthusiastic good morning to natural interaction.

OPENROOM, OFFF LISBON MAY 08
On May 2008 our project was selected for the Openroom section during Offf Festival 2008. To promote our presentation in the festival we designed a graphic campaign focused on moving the multitouch interaction to a real context. We created a sticker hidden into a sleeve that we stuck all over festival area walls. Our goal was simple, we just wanted people to slide their fingers over the sleeve to get the sticker. We thought people should remember how to use their fingers in a natural way after being intoxicated by the mouse for so many years.

PREVIOUS WORK OCT 07 - APR 08
After watching this amazing multitouch demo, we felt like "touching it" by ourselves. Thanks to the support of NUI group we managed to build a working multitouch display prototype and play around designing some applications. One of our developments stood out during this period: Multitouch Crayon Physics, an interactive drawing canvas where people can use a brush or their own fingers to draw shapes that turn into physical objects on the screen.
